As recommended by the Sub-Committee and agreed by the Norfolk County committee, from 2005/06 winter season a points system is in place to select part of the Norfolk County squad. This gives members a chance to earn a place through their own achievments in the County Singles, Pairs, Triples, Fours and Mixed Fours events.
The points system runs on a revolving 2 year basis i.e. at 3rd year, points from 1st year are dropped

Automatic Invitations:

Top 30 in Main PointsTable to receive a County squad invitation prior to winter season. In the event of players who have accrued the same number of points in Main Points Table, priority of position
will be given to the player with greater points total gained in the second Year column.

Please note:

Automatic invitations will still apply as before to the following
Norfolk County Champions.
Any Norfolk National Champions.
Any England Squad Players from Norfolk.

Points System:

Points awarded for each event:-
County Champions : 20 points each.
Runners-Up : 15 points each.
Third place : 10 points each.
Fourth place : 7 points each.
Losing quarter finalists : 5 points each.
All qualifiers from initial round robins : 3 points each.
Entering (and playing in) event : 1 point each.
